The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way people live around the globe. Even when lockdown restrictions are lifted, many say that the world will never be the same. We spend more time at home due to restrictions on outings and the curtailment of restaurant and service businesses. Although nothing can take the place of a dinner out at the best special occasion restaurant, it’s not that hard to create your own fine-dining experience without ever having to leave the house.
Plan the Menu
Just like a restaurant, start with a good menu but cooking at home doesn’t have to be complicated. The cornerstone of a healthy diet is to eat food that is as close as possible to the way nature made it. That means replacing processed food with real food whenever possible and eating plenty of vegetables and healthy sources of protein. It doesn’t mean you have to spend hours in the kitchen combining hundreds of different ingredients or slavishly following elaborate recipes.

Use your favorite Tablewares
Using table cloths, placemats or table runners for meals is just one of many dining etiquette rules that should make a comeback and is essential if you want your dinner to have a true restaurant vibe. And of course, let’s break out your favorite plates from a cabinet. We should enjoy using those plates like a restaurant. Today, I chose Kutani ware which is porcelain produced in Southern Ishikawa prefecture.
